DESCRIPTION:The Young Lawyer’s Section of the State Bar of Michigan and the Criminal Defense Resource Center of the State Appellate Defender Office present a criminal justice training event for criminal defense attorneys\, prosecutors & judges: \nIdentifying\, Investigating\, and Litigating Cases Involving “Abusive Head Trauma” \nThe Michigan Supreme Court recently recognized the prominent controversy within the medical community regarding the reliability of abusive head trauma diagnoses\, which are involved in many child abuse and child death cases. Attend this important training for an overview of the controversy\, and learn how to spot cases where the medical evidence may be unreliable.
